Now my midi is f'ed up
When I record midi, all other tracks get recorded into the new track, or I dont record any at all. I am using the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol VST plugin. And I start to think that its that plugin that do this. there is all over strange behavior, like the piano roll is showing notes in the wrong place. like that the NI KK had a transposer on. And NI Action strings dont get the beat from Sonar at all. So it starts start of sample even tho its into the bar. It should start at the same place in the bar an be I sync. Why does this not work? Even the Komplete Kontrol S61 works strange. I cant work with this.

What version of Sonar? Please confirm 100% that what you speculate is true. You can start a new project without NI plugins and then add them one by one until you find the problem plugin, or you can remove the existing plugin from the current project until things work well again. Anyway... Make sure the NI service center is completely up to date. Update the drivers and firmware for your Kontrol S61 (from NI website). Try this: https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013315/SONAR-X3-Full-VST-Rescan-Recommended-for-Upgraders And it's probably best not to run your DAW on Windows 10 Insiders programme (according to your sig). How are your midi inputs and routing set up? Avoid using omni on the input.
I don't believe Action Strings can start in the middle of a measure. I always start playback at a measure boundary.
Also are you using Kontakt? How are your routings in Kontakt set up? Have you created separate outputs for each instrument?

Thanks. I'll try a rescan later today. I'll write more details as I try out more later. And I will try setting inputs to channel one instead of omni. I think I tried that, but I got really angry so I don't remember clearly.
Yeas my Sonar is latest platinum. I started getting trouble with midi recording in late Mai - June. I thought I had it fixed but now its just not possible to work.
The technical bit is that I have a KK plugin per synths. One instance for piano, one for drums. And one for action strings. Action strings don't even playback what I edit on piano roll. And feels like its not working right. Like its not in sync. To be honest, I have not used Action strings before but it is a synths in my Komplete Platinum 10.
Do you guys suggest I should reinstall Windows 10 without enabling insider? If that solves everything I am going for it.
