Yeah, keep them. They don't take up a lot of space. I've even made duplicates of Sonar 8.5. Last night I fired up my old Gateway with W98 and Home Studio 2000. I needed to check some things for an old piece against the revised version I'm working on. Came in very handy.

Well, you can't legally sell or give them away, so it's either hang on to them or toss them out. I've held on to all my old disks. Most of them I've removed from their original packaging, allowing me to store maybe 200 disks in one shoebox. It saved my bacon when thieves cleaned out everything but overlooked a tattered shoebox in the cupboard.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

A tedious job but I make digital back ups, ISO, of all my software and then toss the disks. It's getting so DVD drives are not even included on laptops. Disk are easily scratched too. I have a "Software" folder and in it are subfolders for the different types, like music, office apps etc. I think that folder is 50 GB now. But everything is in it even drivers for old printers I don't own anymore. I have Cakewalk going back to Guitar Studio6? and all are just ISO images of the original disks. I keep a notepad document with serial numbers inside each subfolder. This Software folder is backed up on a few hard drives some are very old now but still work. Now you could even use a thumb drive. I have it even stored off site at work.

Disco demolition! I was there that night at Comisky Park. I believe the Loop 97.9 radio station sponsored this. It was definitely a BLAST, but as a fan they $%& up the field.

Cactus Music It's getting so DVD drives are not even included on laptops.
Even desktops are not coming with DVD ROMs anymore and the external ones seems to be slow as all get out. ISO is the safest long-term route, but definitely be sure to make a text file for each with the Reg Codes and S/Ns. Even putting disks into a binder (will save a lot of space) you can hose yourself by blindly throwing away the inserts, since many inserts were where the codes were printed.

I would keep the discs. Hard drives, usb sticks, etc, can fail. Like bit said, get a pack of those disc sleeves or something if you need to consolidate.

I loved the old Comiskey Park. For baseball, stoners sat in the left field bleachers. Sox management knew how to take care of us. The only hot dog with grilled onions in the park? Yup, left field/third base line. The only beer wagon with imported beer in the park? Yup, right next to the hot dog stand! When the Chicago Sting (previous outdoor soccer league) played there, stoners sat in the right field bleachers. And mgmt moved the beer wagon! I was on a suburban village council at the time. Several of us trustees, the local bar owner and a couple of cops formed WBSA (pronounced Weeb-Sa)...the Winfield Benevolent Sportsman's Association. We'd hire a driver and a van, and head down to Comiskey. And then the bars. Nothing like a hired designated driver!

No stoner then either, 9 years old started listening to WABX around '67. It's also where I first heard Hendrix & bought tickets to see him at Cobo. Amboy Dukes, MC5, Seger, Stooges used to play in a shopping center were I grew up. Fun youth.

I keep everything. I men they do not take up too much space. If you do not have space for a small box it's time to move....I have them all. CWPA 9 is the oldest I have, cannot find the 2 I had before that. But I have all the Sonars except the one time I didn't upgrade, It was Sonar 2 maybe, well whichever one came with Vsampler. I also have all the downloads that weren't on disk. Ahh, LIveSynth Pro--- I used the hell out of that app............... I really don't keep other types, just the CW\Sonar stuff.
