OK, I guess it's time to leave and shut the door behind me.
I see most of us are already fully entrenched in the nice new shiny forum. Not much point coming back here now. At first I thought the new forum would be so different and I would miss this one. No, it's sort of like they finally gave this one a long awaited update and facelift. Signing out, and deleting the shortcut.

Why don't you give it some time, Johnny? They could make improvements as they go along. Keep your eye on it anyway, buddy! John B.

Edited. New forum does look good, I hope the new Songs forum will have the same camaraderie as the old, with plenty of collabs happening.

Actually Cactus was praising the new forum, wasn’t he? ditto James, on the "songs", and we will all have to make an effort to see that the new forum is successful! T

I also think that new forum is usable right out of the box. Bandlab has big experience making web platforms. The layout is more tablet then desktop oriented (the middle of wide screen is essentially empty), the text color for topics subject wake a bad feeling in me (I perceive colors not as majority of people) and some boards are not yet there. But that are small issues and they can be fixed in no time.

Just took notice that there's a "notify" check. Has anybody tried that yet? I tried to edit a post to make it notify but it didn't seem to let me. JB

I just accidentally opened this forum. I guess I didn't lock the door :) I do like the new forum 100% so far. No point hanging around here far as I can tell. Looks like most of us are over there now which is all that really matters to me.

Bandlab's whole schtick is collaboration. IIRC there are links from their "Songs" board directly to their website where you can post music and others can add parts. Johnbee58 Just took notice that there's a "notify" check. Has anybody tried that yet? I tried to edit a post to make it notify but it didn't seem to let me. JB
I have tried to turn it off. My email inbox is full of notifications from the few posts and comments I have put on the new forum. I'd love to stop that. But the forum does make a neat noise if you happen to have it running when someone comments on a thread you are involved in. I can live with that, as it's not a message taking up space on your email server.

It is pretty easy to turn off the noise and email in the new forum, click on the Bell at the top of the page to open Notifications, then click on "Notification Settings" in the upper right. The same notification settings are available in the options on the right-hand side of your Account Settings page.

That doesn't seem to be working for me. I did that a couple of days ago, and still getting email notifications. Haven't checked, but maybe there's a per-comment switch.

I'll leave this forum if I can get on the new one. I clicked the link to log in and it took me to a window that asked me to log in to my Bandlab account. Logged in, then I clicked the orange "connect with Bandlab" button, the only option, and it took me to a window with an aquamarine "continue" button. I clicked "continue" and nothing happened.

I'm just getting 'page not found' with the new forum. Not great, is it?

Working fine here. Occasionally during the sign in process I have had a pop up to say there is a problem, but if I dismiss that there actually isn't a problem and I am signed in.

Are you using IE11? If so, try with other browser. It seems there is logging in problem with IE11 for now.
