OK, Time to Go Home

Hi Guys, this is a quasi jazz track called "OK, Time to Go Home". It is located at: http://www.reverbnation.com/geetsifly I pictured it as a good "last call" type of tune. I am interested in your take on the tune itself, the recording and the mix. Any and all of your constructive feedback is most welcome. George

    That's got a nice vibe to it. It's nice and slinky with some good atmosphere. Can't say much about the mix on these small, crappy speakers. But if it doesn't suck on these, then it's probably doing pretty well, and it doesn't. Occasionally I found myself wanting a little more punch to the kick to move it maybe a little more funky, but that might not be appropriate for what you were trying to do.

      Yeah!  Works for me.  It sounds good on my system, the mix is well structured.  Good instrumentation and sound that definitely fits the description you gave.  Just the kinda groove to be echoing in your head for a ride home.  Nice stuff!

    Not a bad tune.... it lacks a bit of clarity and punch. However, as a laid back jazz tune, it works fine. Maybe it's just my ears, but nothing I'm listening to tonight seems to have much  punch in it.

    Thanks for the feedback guys. Anybody have any tips for the lack of clarity Guitarhacker is describing|? Since this is a laid back tune I purposely tried to avoid making things too punchy but if its mushy that is an issue.
