OK to get an HP 610 All-in-One for X1?

I finally decided to “upgrade” (pay full price) my current Sonar 6 Studio to Sonar X1 Producer, so I can play with all the new toys.  This will necessitate a new computer, which will be an all purpose one, not a dedicated DAW.  I would like to buy one of those new HP All-in-One touch screen 610 Quads (Windows 7 Prem, Intel i7-2600, 8 GM DDR3, 7200 rpm SATA 3 Gb/s, 23” hi def monitor).  Since I am just a hobbyist and my projects have relatively few MIDI instruments, few audio tracks, minimal samples, and no more than 2 audio inputs recorded at one time, is there any reason why this package would not be a good idea for me?

Also, I would need to buy another audio interface (USB) and dump my existing Firewire.  Any reason why a Roland Quad Capture or M-Audio Fast Track Pro would not work well for me?   Thanks.

That configuration should be fine for your planned usage. I have a 24" monitor and it's very good with X1. I wouldn't go any smaller. The quad capture and Fast track Pro are both good.

    I agree with ampfixer.

Moreover, if you get that system, clean it of all the bloatware (troublesome software that comes pre-installed on it.) Switch the anti-virus software to a good free anti-virus such as Avast. Make sure you don't use any wireless network adapters, get and run the DPC Latency checker to check for any troublesome drivers that may make the system unstable when running SONAR, and get yourself one or two more HDDs that are at least 7200 rpm speed for your projects, audio data, and samples.

Thanks Ampfixer and Thomasbarnes.  On my current PC (Dell M90 laptop), I had removed the bloatware/junkware, and replaced the paid McAffee with free Avast and that helped.  Where my computer is located, though, I cannot connect it by hardwire to my router so I am using my Lynksys wireless card.  I have not observed any problems with that (since I switched to Avast), but if I did, I suppose I could temporarily disconnect the router when I am working on Sonar projects.  Also, I have been using my internal hard drive (7200 rpm) all along, without issues, except when projects get more elaborate, I experience drop outs and I adjust the mixing latency buffer size.  That normally takes care of it.
