OK, we've seen your studios. . .

But who's got the best view FROM their studio (and pictures of nekkids don't count! )

Mine has a view of either a wall, or my little backyard. So I won't bore you. But I suspect some of you have some neat views out the ol' window (and that can include the little window in your basement )

So, anyone want to brag??

That's an impressive site, especially for being out of the heart of the city.

I also like the view of the snow in someone else's post.

    What a contrast!

    Thanks for playing along.

    Great view montezuma. Very cool.

    EDIT:

Isn't this a picture of the inside of your studio? Wow, very efficient. At least you don't get boged down with equipment.

best view.. hmm there is a mastering place in central london that gives a very good view of the town..

where I used to go canalot buildings, the view again you could see across London from the roof.

but this is probably the best view, although I've never been there

    http://www.realworldstudios.com/

some of my old customers were based in Henley etc.. right on the borders of London.. some very scenic places there also..

light ? studio ? windows ? isn't that a contradiction though? hehe.. 3-4 studios didn't have windows only a skylight.. must play havoc with the acoustics ;-)

I live in a small "out parcel" community (it was a private logging camp associated with the C.C.C.) in the middle of a National Forest. We have a small pond right out side the window so I see stuff like this most of the time:

But then again on Tuesday, I was 250 miles away working in the bowels of a football stadium doing "feature style" interviews in a room that could best be described as building maintenance and engineering with a added sometime later server farm. It was a dark damp dungeon type atmosphere with lots of hazard warnings and emergency spill floor drains.

It's like Salt and Pepper... a little but of both keeps things interesting.

with the mention of "emergency spill floor drains. " you just reminded me of the first ever studio I ever went 19 years ago, warrior dance. It was in the basement of a place, under a hair dressers.. alas very near a water main... one christmas the hair dressing place flooded.. and well that studio was no more and the owner came back to a flooded basement.. since the guy had no insurance on the equipment

    YUCK.

That reminds me of the hotel conference room I was working in that suddenly had a waterfall in the center of he room. A 6 inch fire safety main had busted 2 floor ups. It was surreal... we got lucky and stayed dry (just by inches) and quickly pulled the gear out of there and headed for hills!

    best,

Ok Lets go way off topic. Fog's post reminds me of a studio i worked in Downtown Chicago (I was a min wage gofer) It was a 4 story building that was designed to be a ice house to load horse drawn carrages with chucks of ice to deliver to homes and restaurants in the 1890's. Over a weekend a huge water tower on the roof broke and slowly dumped tons of water into an elevator shaft as the temps dropped to below zero. It created a huge 4 story ice stalagmite that render the elevator useless. It was a beautiful site, but the owners of the building were extrodinarily peaved.
