OMF error

I am getting an error when trying to export an OMF. The error says "mob does not exist in this file". Anyone know how to fix this?

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

Never worked with OMF. There are a couple of thread referencing the error. Here is one of them.

FWIW I have never had much luck with OMF export. I have generally found broadcast wave to be more functional and faster in the long run when transfering projects.

Last week I tried exporting OMF for the first time ever. With a small project it worked fine (and imported successfully into Digital Performer too). But with larger projects it crashed every time.

I used omf a few times and one thing I learned is that its best to export everything in mono, cause each time I try to export even one track in stereo it crashed or crashed the software opening it.
I never went deep to try and fix the problem I just exported in mono.
That`s my 1 c

Yep, well, it seems like there are a lot of issues with OMF. I seem to have all sorts of problems moving stuff out of Sonar. Even just rendering out stems has resulted in some tracks picking up audio anomalies and having to be re-rendered.

Bounce all your tracks down to clips (one whole clip) and then drag them in to your new host.

Aye, this is what I would do if automation wasn't important to me. And drag the start of each clip to the start of the project.

That said, I am not familiar with broadcast waves so, yeah, this may negate having to make each clip start from zero...

I found it pretty easy at first to just do export audio and select all the tracks and a range on the timeline. Even without making everything start from bar 0 all tracks rendered out and would import aligned to 0. But then I started to notice that there were little glitches on the exported files. So I started exporting tracks individually and am still getting the odd glitch. I think this is the first time I have noticed how crap Sonar is at exporting anything other than a full mix! I am sure I have been able to export from Sonar far better than this in the past. Maybe Sonar is just jealous of all the other DAWs I have installed now!

Haven't had any trouble with this at all. I have transfered 30 projects with 40+ audio tracks each without a single glitch.
It is exactly the same process as exporting a full mix as far as Sonar is concerned, so I doubt that is the problem.

I just drag and drop from the audio folder. Most of my audio tracks are all one long track start to finish because I'm just like that. and they are all clearly labeled in the audio folder.  If they are not whole I would just bounce to create a whole track.
As I've said , transferring to another DAW is super easy if your projects are like mine. But then the problem child will be those who's works of art are giant conglomerations of bits and pieces. I feel sorry for those folks as there is going to be no easy solution.
