OMGosh! Download taking forever...

Isn't there a way to get the X2 upgrade shipped on disk or something? I have a cable modem with turbo boost and after 3-1/2 hours I still only have half of the 1st part downloaded..... with 2 more parts to go! And that's just for Sonar X2 Essential - what if I'd gone for Producer? OMGosh!

The physical media is available for sale at the CW store. You will still have to download the updates when they become available. Here is the US store link http://www.store.cakewalk...ductid=10-CXSE2.00-20C

why don't you stop and restart..   Cakewalk web services host is Amazon..  The download should be zippy like a race car.

These guys don't skimp on their hosting.

Unfortunately you picked a very bad night to download. This is the last day that people can redeem their $20 credit so the server traffic is likely very large. The store has been buggy all day because of it (or so I'm assuming).

Also if you are not using a browser that has an internal download manager like Firefox that should be something to try.

If you are dead set on IE then my friend scook has recommended freedownloadmanager to me and others quite a few times... and that dude is like all smart and stuff.

Cheers and I hope you enjoy X2 once you actually get it onto your system.

Thanks for the info guys! I looked into it, cancelled the download, ordered the media box w/ DVD(s), and used the $20 promo that I forgot to use earlier. Frustrating night, but all is well now. Thanks again.

FreeDownloadManager made my download of X2 much faster than without it.  Not sure how...but it did.  I had started the download and it seemed to be creeping pretty slow.  I downloaded the Free Download Manager and restarted the download and it was much faster.
