ONSCREEN KEYBOARD WHEN? 3 MONTHS AND COUNTING......what kind of tools
will it have? will it help with songwriting or
will it just be eye candy?

    Hmmm interesting .. I do hope too that its just not eye candy.
     Perhaps they can implement the Arp into it, A chord mode, Maybe have the virtual keyboard have knobs , switches  and faders so that each keyboard is dedicated per track therefore allowing a drag and drop control instead of our awesome working ACT system we have now.  I dunno , all I know is an eye candy keyboard is useless ..
     
     I realize knobs / ect on the virtual keyboard would be the same as what we see on our plugins, but somehow have the virtual keyboard map to your hardware keyboard in a global settings and then every track will see this virtual keyboard ( better yet a virtual keyboard of the exact midi controller you have and it shows up per track and every instance can be mapped out per drag and drop of what parameter you wanna control..   THAT would be COOL !!

    I agree. would be nice to hear from Cakewalk. Anyone heard from Cakewalk?  Hmmmm

    Just a guess (it was speculated in another thread somewhere) that the keyboard will be the same as the one introduced recently in Music Creator - http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/Music-Creator/Features

    I can't actually see much benefits in an onscreen keyboard. If it's a touchscreen one, then it can sometimes be usefull to a traveller, but as it can't (??) be velocity sensitive it's just a first aid kit with very limited use.

    As far as I'm aware there's only been 1 enhancement update.
    So not sure where this '3 months and counting' comes from. Was there a deadline?

    There's probably free solutions out there I guess, I'm not that excited...
