OS advice

I ran XP64 for a few versions of Sonar PE. My Mother board(dual Operton Tyan) in combo with Sonar 6 PE had enough issues I bailed and reinstalled XP Pro. It was definitely a step down in processing power. I'm reading great things about Win7 64 bit. I'm running Sonar PE 8 right now and am thinking of going with Win7 64. Is anyone aware of any issues with an older Dual Operton based mb, Sonar 8.5 & Win7 64 bit? I'd love get back some of that processing power I had with XP64. Thanks!

    is your machine up to running win7 properly though? you can check that out on the MS site IRC

    thats the main issue, also up to date sound card drivers.

    sonar works with what it's given to work with hardware wise, so in that sense is generic
