OSX Lion and/or Mountain Lion Drivers (Resolved!! - Sort of)

So, I bought my VS 700 C with the understanding that it would work on my Mac, and it did...under Snow Leopard. We're now 2 OS upgrades out of commission. I boxed up my VS 700C and let it sit. Tried out a couple of other things for control. Can we not get basic functionality in in Lion/Mountain Lion?

Frustrating. Now that things are basically working in X2, can I just get the thing to talk to OSX?

So, I'm seeing conflicting info. Is the VS 700C Driver functional with 10.7 and 10.8 or not?

The Cakewalk V-Studio Product support page says "Driver version 1.0.0 for Mac OSX 10.6 or later"

    The Roland site says:

"Due to an incompatibility with OS X 10.7 (Lion) and the V-STUDIO 700, we recommend that V-STUDIO 700 users wait to upgrade to OS X 10.7 until it is updated to address the following issues:

    - When using two V-STUDIO 700s as an aggregate playback device at 96kHz, audio will not be heard.
    - VS-700 M2 unit is not recognized.

Apple and Roland are aware of the issues and are working on a software update in the future to address it."

Can any Cakewalk employees or users clarify. It looks to me like the issues are pretty hardware specific and perhaps basic functionality is there. I don't want to upgrade again until I know it'll work.

This is very poor support of such a great product, the VS-700c has to be the best controller out there, far better then the Avid artists series, why Don't they make a OSX driver so it can be used with other apps, they could sell a lot more of these amazing desks. c'mon Cakewalk lets have some official replies here please?

Well. I upgraded to mountain lion and my VS 700 now works! It works a little strangely, but I do have basic functionality. Very cool. I'd still love a driver that uses more of the controller features, but I'm happy. Thought I'd better say something positive since I vented so much. :)
