Hi Joni. Nice to see you back. That is wonderful. I love quality work. It shows in the video and the music. It doesn't get any better than this for me. Thank you.

Check this out, at first I turned it down then when the music came on I turned it up!

    Hi:)

For me the Piano is a bit too thin and too sharp at about 700 Herz I think, it hurts in my ears when I hear it loud.
    Rest beautiful!! Great Musicians!

    John,
Thank you. Good to hear from you! Haven't been a lot here but still SONARing 100%.

Bassman, I agree. Piano is indeed too thin. Unfortunately I can't boost what's not there.
We recorded this with very limited gear. An 8 channel presonus into a laptop (1-BD; 2-ND; 3-OH; 4-Bass; 5-Piano L; 6- Piano R; 7-Sax or Trumpet; 8-Vox). I did not have my pics so we recorded the piano with two mics they had. The piano sound excellent on site because of the direct sound from the piano. I didn't think it would end up this thin. I am still trying to find ways to improve it. I have to get back to the mix soon (now I am busy eating the footage). Will post more stuff as we go...

    Have a great weekend

First off - I am a keyboard player, and I LOVED the piano work.  Very good rhythm, and nice chops.  That drummer was also great.  Couldn't hear much of the bass.

I look forward to the finished release.

sounds great to me - fairly well balanced, though nothing beats hearing it live most time.

    all good!

A rack of noisemakers is not a definitive substitute for creativity. (though it does seem to help)

    Thank you guys.
I will post an entire song soon so that you can advise me on the overall sound/mix.
This project has been great fun as the musicians are really TOP which makes things very easy for me.

    J:
Nice project.  What are your mix FX chains like, and what is your two bus FX bin like?  Just wondering.  Again, great work.
