OT: IK Multimedia Free Download
They are celebrating their 1 mil install and are giving previously registered users one free product. You can choose between Ampeg SVG, T-Racks, Sampletank and Amplitube 2. It's totally legit, but you have to have been registered already. I just grabbed Amplitube 2--gotta go! Enjoy! Aw--just found out they are light versions. Oh well...

You can choose between Ampeg SVG, T-Racks, Sampletank and Amplitube 2. Well, actually its Ampeg SVG UNO, T-RackS 3 EQ, Sampletank 2.5 SE or Amplitube 2 DUO. But nevertheless it is a great offer. I selected the T-RackS 3 EQ and so far it seems to be very nice and transparent. I really like the spectrum analyzer that's included with it. Yea, that's what I meant by light versions. Anyway, I have the Amplitube 2 Duo which just has fewer featuers, but sounds and works great. Again--free!!

As I am already part of (2068, 35,076, 167,989, 722,116 & 803,224) the million installs, I got to choose a free "lite" version of one of the packages I already own. OK. I chose the new TRackS 3EQ thinking I at least might get some of the "new" TRackS stuff. Nope. New fancy package. Same ol (very good) TRackS. Still, good to have as a VST. Although on a cursory popping up and futzing with not overly impressed. Perhaps the newer "Deluxe" package offers more. We'll see.

I got the email and never even opened - I just figured it was spam. Pretty cool - I just picked up the Ampeg plug - I've actually been wanting a fairly "bassic" (get it? bassic???!!! oh man, I crack me up  ) plugin for a while now, so that should serve my needs. Thanks for the heads-up, razor!
