What's this thread about, anyway?

zevo,

I don't even have an opinion on that. And I started it.

Sometime threads take on a life of their own, don't they?

Nope
I believe a lot of promises were made to get elected but when he has to look at the realities of the situation, many of those are not economical or safe.

Change - After many of the appointments, looks like more of the same.

How about instead, "Can we? Yes but we're not gonna"

It is a known fact that the word "orange" is the only word in the English language which has no other word that rhymes with it.

really?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_words_without_rhymes

Hmmmm

Hmm . . . not really. Proper nouns don't really count as words in this context. And "sporange" is a slang shortening of sporangia.

They say in songwriting: learn the rules. Then, and only then, can you break them.

I'd say you are correct, door hinge is the closest.

I think he was making the opposite point. Not that orange does, in fact, have rhymes, but that it not even close to the only word without any. At least, that was my take on what he meant...
