One positive bit about the election though: If Obama wins, the homeless will all vanish again until a republican takes over in 4 or 8 years.

UNCLE MEAT --- 1. I defy you to actually look into this issue yourself and see whose names keep popping up OPPOSING reform of financial institutions... the names Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, and Barack Obama appear repeatedly. Who coincidentally were the top 3 recipients of campaign money from Fannie Mae / Freddy mac. Hey, is there a secret Frank Zappa fan club on the forum? I see your user name, and Clyde's signature quotes a "poodle chews it", and Space_Cowboy knows the secret reference behind "Weasils Ripped My Flesh". I want in this club. I'll pay member ship dues. Although you realize that Zappa thought Republicans above all else were evil incarnate (even though it was Mrs. Al Gore that was behind the whole PMRC Censorship debacle). Your quote above is interesting though. Conspiracy theories can be developed that they knew this current crisis was coming (how could you NOT see it coming!!). Their intent was to get the government directly involved in the banking business. Oooh I bet the Rush Limbaugh's of the world would have fun with that (he is of course the Michael Moore or Oliver Stone or the right). Paranoia and panic in the streets. Oh, and the Guitarpima comment? wow. just... wow...

Yes, no one ever wins a war. that is why the USA is still a territory of England, the Confederacy still runs half the states, and mustachioed Aryans rule Europe with an iron fist.

Thomas, I applaud your non-partisan encouragement to vote. I voted. I am heart-sick at the ignorant virtol from leftists(mostly) in this forum who had to turn this into something else. Given the recent proliferation of negativity in the forum, topped off by this thread...I think I am done participating here in the SONAR forums(not that anyone should or would care). Congrats to the obnoxious blowhards. The forum is yours.

Hiya Andy: I tried to make the annoucement without mentioning my affiliation. You may know the saying: Never discuss politics or religion." These two topics of discussion can really stir emotion. There has recently been some dissatisfaction expressed in the SONAR forum over users' experiences with the newest version, but I'm sure it will work out OK. Reading and posting a lot of disappointment kinds of posts can get disturbing, but I don't think seeing such posts should drive a user away from the SONAR forum, permanently. Maybe a break from the forum is all that is needed. Once user experiences change to reflect more pleasing experiences, posts will become more pleasant to read.

Steady on there, AndyW. We are talking about faceless, invisible people here. I come here for advice and to help others and you have the experience. The net is full of weird and wonderful people and forums is natures way of rounding them up. We, the sensible 5%, have a duty to not take them seriously.

ORIGINAL: thomasabarnes Hi all: Please make sure you get out and vote if you haven't early Voted. I early voted, so I'll be watching the news probably all day today and into tomorrow morning. We did this last year.....Kevin 07 won. The one time I forgot to vote in our local council elections, they made me pay a ridiculous (and unfair IMO) fine.....wasn't happy..... so now I go every time. Dude, I think if you are just voting today, you are in for a similar fate....or is it a by-election there in Seppoland?

personally I dont see binladen as capable of pulling that off I believe he did. But I totally understand your point of view. The enormity of the spectacle makes it easy to disbelieve the simplicity of the method used. I was merely drawing reference to the fact that Clinton had the opportunity to remove binladen, and he blew it.
