Crash - I thought it was just me too, but it seems that we're not alone. Mind you, a google search doesn't come up with hundreds of links to people complaining about WMP11.
Ognis - point taken, but it is a heck of a lot easier to just attach a music PC to the internet for your updates and activations etc, and just disable it when you're done. I run a batch file with a bunch of "net stop servicename" commands to turn off anti virus, auto updates system restore, de-activate network card, etc etc. I just stick it on my desktop and click it when I'm ready for "music"... (and another one to restart the services so I don't have to reboot)
Also - WMP is part of Windows, so you're not gonna live without it. I just made the mistake of updating to ver 11 ;)
This stuff doesn't really affect you music partition that badly anymore.... (just my opinion)
I have another "non music" partition too - and WMP 11 screwed that up too.
