OT: When is too big too big?

Greetings all,

http://www.ic.siemens.com/index.jsp?sdc_p=cz3s6uo1267443pn1031338flmi1031581

Actually made out of eight separate, Voltron-esque LCDs, this
monitor is undoubtedly out of reach for everyone save for the
richest Bond villains. But, just imagine loading up every single
note of every single track and seeing it all at once.

Regards,
David

Judging by the shadows on the floor, it looks like this approximately 6000×4000 display is mounted on the wall about 6' behind the table. Incredible!

Well, if it works for controlling nuclear power plants, it ought to be enough for Sonar

I have a lot of plugs and that simply is not big enough. I guess size matters after all.

    Hello,

Nice, but why do they have that giant block diagram (that really should fit in a minisule corner of that display) taking up half the screen. Defeats the purpose doesn't it?

This stuff is more in our range: http://www.digitaltigers.com/zenview_us3-x2trader1.shtml?gclid=CLifpIya94cCFQeZHgodO1wgHg

George, those look sweet! I think I'd be quite happy with a pair of 24" Dell Flat screensthough ... someday.

Can't we configure a virtual reality studio for this?

Won't happen on that screen. My last project has 231 tracks. But that screen sure does look nice ...

There is alot more stuff to control in Sonar than in a nuclear plant.

I totally thought this was a thread about how ridiculously huge some of the sample libraries are getting lately. I was all ready to start a big rant.

    Darnit!

    Yikes!

    30" panels – 2560 by 1600 resolution per panel
    New Low Web Price: $7,499

But it would take 3 dual-DVI cards to drive it, which would leave anything left over for audio.
