[OT] Windows 10 Compact OS

This is horribly off-topic, but there are so many geeks here I thought this might be useful info.
 
I ran into a startup problem after a recent Windows 10 update and I discovered it was due to the new way Windows compacts the OS.

The solution for me was to run this at an elevated prompt:

>compact /CompactOs:query

to show the status; and

>compact /CompactOs:never

to turn if off.
 
You can turn it back on with the ':always' sub-option.
