OTS Evolution Guitars updated

We just released updates for all our Evolution guitar libraries, including Evolution Mandolin.

The most important change in the updates is fixing a bug with the sustain pedal that sometimes left notes hanging.

While we were at it, we also added five new guitar cabinet models, which offer additional useful tonal options:

The new "Freed" 1x12 is a fantastic cabinet, with a lot of clarity--especially in the low and mid frequencies. It excels at rich blues and jazz tones, but also works exceedingly well for dry, crunchy rock.

The 4x10 "Supa" is a relic of the mid '60s. It has a lot of warmth--and not just tonally: it's loaded with enough tubes to heat a small cabin during a winter snow storm. It's essentially the big brother to the 1x12 "Blackface" cabinet, in contrast to the bright twang of the 2x12 "Blackface" cab.

For the punk rockers among you, we've added three new "Tangerine" cabinets, including a remarkably heavy 4x12. These cabs pack a punch in the mid range, making them great partners with high gain distortion.

You can download the updates using the link below. As indicated on the download pages, only the new engine files need to be downloaded, and should replace your existing engine files. You can refer to this video for instructions on how to perform the update.

Change list: (BUILD 1.1.62)

- Fixed a bug with the sustain pedal that would occasionally leave notes hanging.

- Added five new guitar cabinet models: 1x12 "Freed", 1x12 "Tangerine", 2x12 "Tangerine", 4x10 "Supa", 4x12 "Tangerine".

No update for Strawberry, though. :(

Evolution Strawberry was updated as well. Is it not showing up in your account as having an update available, though? If so, that could just be an issue with the website that needs sorting out...

On my account I see the update for Strawberry, buy I also have the old, non-player version showing with no updates. Not a problem for me but those who did not upgrade to the player / nks version probably won't have the update.

I downloaded the Strawberry engine files just to make sure it wasn't a case of the page's text needing to be updated. But it is the same file that I downloaded in May.

I'm assuming it's the non-Kontakt Player version of Evolution Strawberry? Since that's discontinued, there isn't an update available for it.

Weird. Did you download from your Account page?

When I went there it said "Update Available" for the Rick 12 and Stratosphere, but not for any of the others. On the download pages for those products, the rar file was highlighted in red to indicate they were new. But there was no such designation for the Strawberry files, which I verified (using fc) had not changed.

EDIT: I was typing at the same time as Greg. Explanation understood.
