I was thinking that the Kinks probably would win the title in this thread ... all you have to do is go listen to the first album or 2nd and get those stories about David Watts, and what not ... so English ... that you can smell it over here!

I may have been thinking of St. John's Wood.  I'm pretty sure I've heard that in a song.  I also found a reference to St. John in York, but it's not a city.
