Occasional 'static/crackles'? Open and close Preferences

I still get the occasional static/crackle-type sound, in my case when I'm using a guitar plugin like Guitar Rig 4, or sometimes when I'm recording from a mic.  With 8.5.3 I discovered that just fiddling around opening and closing audio options often helped silence it.
I've found that with X1B just opening and closing the main Preferences window does the trick (well, for me anyway).

I had the same crackels and static noises happening from HEAT I opened up the side of the computer and put a fan on it. Now, no noise from the system. I turn the fan off when using a mic. It's heat i tell ya!
