Octa-Capture no sound during recording

Hi,
 
I have also posted this in the Sonar X1 forum since i do not know if it is DAW related or interface related. sorry for the double post but i am stumped.
 
I miked up a kit and everything sounds great but I do not hear anything through the speakers or headphones until after i record during playback. I would like to be able to hear through headphones while i am recording. Am is missing something?

    Try adjusting the Input Mix knob on the Octa-capture.
