Odd request, but maybe somehow possible?

I have 9 cd-rs of archived projects from a free mac version of pro-tools. (was called pro-tools free, had 8 tracks)  First off I have no idea what format the audio data was saved in. any attempts to open audio as is in cakewalk have failed. if there's any way to read the audio files and covert them to a cakewalk friendly format it would be much appreciated

Probably need to load it/them into ProTools and then render/export individual WAV files.

    But, I could be wrong.

mac uses aif(f) format for audio? try a freeware audio editor (not sequencer) like wavosaur or audacity

Doesn't use .AIFF but I suspect some form of sound designer (precurser to protools) format. And I don't have access to protools anymore I'm trying to load them on a PC

oh another detail, as these are mac and I suspect possibly program specific files, they do not have any extensions and my PC reads them as "yes there is some sort of data file here, but I have no clue what it is"
