Off to see Opeth in a bit...

A busy month, in fact...

Going to see Opeth tonight. Then next week we go to see a band called Jinjer. And towards the end of the month we're going to see Robert Plant. Twice.

Heh, which Opeth will you get to see?  The Death Metal version or the Prog Rock version?  (Both are good!)

To be honest they usually do some of their old death metal stuff and their newer stuff. So, best of both worlds

I'm a little jealous of the Opeth show...prog stuff is way better, but it's all pretty damn good.  The amazing thing about Jinjer is that you can understand her growls, unlike the male singers in that genre.  Not sure how she does that...

Voda La Void...experiments in disturbing frequencies...

Yeah, it was a good night... Opeth played numbers from Blackwater Park, Damnation, Watershed and a couple of other early ones plus some from Heritage and Sorceress (not got that one yet).

Somehow, though, he managed to choose just a couple of songs with the death metal vocals.

For the encore they played Deliverance which is fffff awesome, especially live.

Looking forward to Jinjer next. I posted this video in another topic and it didn't go down to well

I have a hard time believing Jinjer's singer is actually doing those growl vox....would really like to know how she pulls it off live. Fantastic band though.....will be on my playlist today. :)

I'd give her about an 8/10 for her live performance... I think it is always difficult matching live performances to peep's expectations, sometimes:-
