Offline Render: Is Radius Mix Advanced pretty much better for all bounces?

I was trying out some of the more specific settings like Bass, Vocal, etc and it seemed Radius Mix Advanced had the same results or better. It also took longer to process which leads me to believe it's more precise. Is it safe to assume that I can mostly ignore the other settings unless something is being particularly finicky?

Finally glad to have gotten to this phase even though it was meant as a test for the simplest song of the bunch. It seems to have worked out how I wanted. Cheers.

Did you ever find an answer to this question? I wouldn't mind knowing about this, too.
