Oh Boy, Why am I Now Getting This Error?

So over the last few days sometimes when I insert a VST effect I get a DOS text box very quickly on my screen and Sonar crashes and closes.

The effects I am using are effects that I have used many times without trouble, like Melodyne.

The only thing that I have changed on my computer recently is the addition of a Texas Instruments Firewire card, nothing else.

Tonight I managed to catch the error in a screen shot as Sonar didn't just disappear this time:

Does anyone know what this is?  I think contact with tech support is in order.

The text box says "OMP Error #15: Initializing libiomp5md.dll but found libguide40.lib already in"  I can't make it all out as it doesn't fit the DOS box!

I found some information on this error here, but it doesn't help me: http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/omp-error-15-initializing-libguidelib-but-found-libguide40dll-already-initialized/

    After reloading I just tried to insert a new VST effect and Sonar crashed, right after Windows informed me that it has applied compatibility settings to Sonar!  Ah!!  I hear it is very difficult to remove compatibility settings!

    I have submitted my information to Sonar tech support, I hope they can help.

    There is a workaround for this  until software such as Melodyne is updated to use the newer lib.  The latest version of Amplitube 3 is one of the programs that will cause this conflict when Melodyne is also used, there are others as well.

    Add a new System Variable to the following Control Panel->System->Advanced Settings->Environment Variables->System Variables

    KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK=TRUE

    Thanks Dan, I'll give that a try.

    I had done a bit of research on the error and I did see something about that registry entry, however I got the impression it was a bad change to make.  Any idea why?

    It is frustrating to run into this error, is it because of conflicts with other VSTs?  Is that what you mean, that some VSTs have a bad interaction with one another and result in this error?

    I have seen this error with Rob Papen delay, so perhaps it is incompatible with Melodyne as the error occured when I last tried to load RP and Melodyne was already in my project.
