Why do I get the feeling that every Sonar feature will be listed here, just as it would if you asked people their favourite feature. Welcome to the bakers quandary!

But if anyone says the playlist, I will travel the globe to track you down and lecture you incessantly on its virtues:)

Now you got it! Ditto the R button for sure, never could figure out why anybody would record anything when you can use loops and steal stuff off the internet..

Great! It is a feature unique amongst DAW's and deserves more users. Once you get it set up how you like it and understand it's quirks it is awesome . A bit like all of Sonar really:) Good luck with it Johnny.

    I don't need rewind/rtz. Forward Only, I say.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

The Auto R default ON feature! When loop recording, all tracks recorded come in with the R "on" and not only do you have to turn them all off... It can not be turned off (unchecked) even if the R is off...

SONARPLT.exe ... probably without this executable, Platinum could work under Linux. But that very small component of Sonar (27Mb out of 1GB minimal installation) fail, is it really required?

Never used punch in or out. And the theme editor is redundant for me, I can't believe how good SPLAT looks on my big monitor just as it is.

Since the thread is more serious then I thought...
Theme editor - I can imaging I modify 1-2 "bad" button colors, but that was possible before. Good design requires pro. grade education which I do not have. If size and position of elements could be modified, that could be "pure man" solution to adopt Sonar for small monitors. But that is not possible.
Score view - not comparable with specialized editors, even free. And I do not need it "build-in", when I need it.

An impossible question. Unless by "we" you mean you and everyone who has exactly the same workflow as you.

SONAR is so feature-rich that most - no, ALL - of us utilize only a subset of its capabilities. Anyone's personal list of unused features would be quite long, no two users' lists would be the same, and nobody's list would be complete because you can't include features you don't know about.

But I'll play along...I never use the Console View.

Matrix view and staff view I have never even opened.  But like so many others, I probably use 40-50% of what Sonar actually offers.  I just use what I need to make rock music and move on.

Hmmm, all of the updates since Jan 2016. LandR was so not wanted that I backed out of that update and stayed there.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

Ditto for Punch In/Out.  It's a holdover from tape, and has been deleted from my Control Bar. Now I start the recording a couple of bars early, get the feel, play what's needed, and Slip Edit the extra recorded time.

Then again, since the developers are busy adding and improving, REMOVING anything seems a waste of time.  After 14(ish) years with Cakewalk, one of their best selling points is workflow versatility.  I can use it for strictly electronic music, record live like tape, or any point between.
