Ok.. This is about transferring midi from a Sonar X1 Track into Z3ta's arp...

I tried to ask this in my other thread, cause I hate to make like, "ten thousand different threads," but I was under the impression that if I had a Sonar Midi Clip, and the clip was bounced to a clip..  and was 1 measure...   That I could drag and drop it in Z3tas 2's...  Arp box..

Am I missing something, cause that whole thing, does not seem to be working for me...   I'm having no trouble dragging the clip to the media browser, and then using the drop down menu on Z3ta to load said clip..   but for doesn't the manual say, "drag n drop?"

Cheers...

Hmmm... I couldn't get it to work... Must be a magic key combination or incantation needed.

Each MIDI track has an arpeggiator now. Page 264 of the ref manual has more information.

What does that have to do with the onboard synth arp? Each midi track has had that feature since V8.* It's a completely different feature in that a synth arp doesn't have to be tied to the project tempo.

The question was how to get existing patterns into the synth.

I don't know the answer to that either.  Can it even be done?

LP you may be better off asking this question in the Cakewalk Instruments forum.  Some of the guys in there are more clued up on synths, particularly z3ta 2, and stuff than those in here.

The answer I gave was to inform a fellow member about that feature. It may not interest you but it may be helpful to the OP. Often a feature goes unnoticed.

Your post was unnecessary but quite typical of you. To bad your purpose in life is to insult people.

    John,

Your point is a valid one, although I'd agree with Jonbouy that at first glance it could be seen as off topic and not really answering the OP.
I'm not in any way trying to offend you here John, I've always appreciated your knowledgable input over the years.

    Linear Phase,

Unfortunately, as yet, it's not possible to drag'n'drop midi clips into Z3ta's arp.
They have to be loaded into the arp using the method you've described, via the menu from within Z3ta.
I'm rather hoping that Cakewalk update Z3ta at some point to allow what you'd like to achieve.

Best wishes all, live and let live =)

Thank you chilldanny...  I agree, definitely should be a feature, in a future update, and I'm really glad you cleared it up for me...
