alewgro i sadly just registered at the Panu forum, and now I get about 50 porno spam mail daily in my gmail.
Must be coincidence. Sonarmods.com has never shared email addresses to 3rd parties. There are also no trackers or ads of any kind at sonarmods.com.

Thanks for confirming that Panu. It just started happening, but who knows, maybe its something from a while back. Sorry for even mentioning it. I love Duckbar! I'm the guy who posted his "Logic-Looking" Sonar pic before :)

Thanks as always Panu. I dearly missed 8.5 until X3 came out, and to this day I miss my color layout - and believe me my eyesight is very different 4+ years ago. Visualization in general is so much more important to me now. I use DimPro when I need to, but it Rapture & Z3ta would be used a lot more if I the GUIs didn't look so frustrating - and that's after years of understanding of how they work and really getting used to working with them. I'm always grateful CW's innovating, but not having something I had in 8.5 in X3 blows my mind.

Danny DanziPM me if you're interested in talking more about this stuff. The last thing I want to do is upset the Bakers. But I do feel the Duckbar mod is safe when used correctly and haven't had any issues at all since it came out. :) -Danny Would love if you and/or Panu did an in-depth youtube series on using Duckbar and it would be great if features from the more prominent users were put into templates that are easily downloadable and useable. I would love to look deeper into the mod and understand how it all works but I just don't have the time to spend hours looking around it. I'd rather just be able to load it and use it with a good video series to give me the basics on everything if something needs edited quickly.

I did a high-contrast Rapture background, makes all the difference in the world. I just loaded it in GIMP (free paint program), and bumped up the brightness and contrast.

It's the same here... lack of time! So far I have used all available time for Duckbar to develop main core of the program. Youtube video series is a good idea, though. :)

Figured that one of the power users like Danny might be interested in working on that so you could keep up working on the awesomeness that is Duckbar. :D

It had been awhile since I downloaded the latest version of Duckbar, it was smoother than ever today - no Windows warning! - and the colors really do make everything pop. Many thanks again.

Unfortunately, video's take time as well as rendering time and I have two recording studios to run. The program (in my opinion) doesn't need a video to show what it can do. You open it, you select what you want and it just works really. The advanced part of it may require some explanation but if you don't have the time to spend to look around the program like you mentioned, you won't need to go into the advanced part really. The presets that come with it give enough tweaks to where most users will be content. -Danny

Danny's colour scheme is even darker than the Darkside skin, Panu provides. Maybe we should call it the Danziside option.

I'm not sure. It has the ability to heavily customize the look and some functions of the interface. I think it will depend on you putting in a little time with the program, it's very powerful. I'm happy with the preset options that are provided, so I never got under the hood.

alewgro how do i make my own theme?
Duckbar does not yet have Theme Editor (coming in 2015) but you can: 1. Click Duckbar main menu | Customize | Extract graphics resources... 2. Edit images. 3. Drag & drop them back to Duckbar which exports resources to SONAR. Screen captures: Extract PNG and Bitmap resources Edit image files. Then drag & drop file(s) back to Duckbar. You can select whole PNG and Bitmap folders, too. Drag & drop phase 2: Duckbar exports new images to SONAR's resource DLL file. Done. :) Alternative method: Use Duckbar's Resource Editor. It's still in beta phase and has some issues but basically it let's you browse and edit SONAR resources - not only images but stringtables, too.
