This is the tape machine Paul and I were standing next to in the above shot.







Probably not THE machine used there but it sort of lent to the authenticity of the room.

Kudos on your Photoshop skills, Bapu.  I'm just curious, though, wouldn't it just be easier to get someone else to take a shot with both of you in it?  I'm just sayin'.

Now, that's not a nice thing to say

I see these two guys, I see four chins, I see they're both in their second trimesters and I smile.

Now I'll have to show this picture to my business partner to prove that this IS what a musician (or musician wannabe, or serial musician forum poster) should look like!  Then maybe he'll stop teasing me about having two chins or being in my second trimester.

Not to detract from all of this lovely feuding... 

I want to interject that I haven't seen that many splicing blocks in one place in probably 20 years.  

And I used that Ampex model (the 1/4" tape, actually) as a beginning radio announcer long before that - and learning the hard way that you didn't rewind one of those whilst on the air without first opening the gate so the tape was off the heads.  On the board that station had, even with the pot all the way down, you could still hear the 'screech' on-air.

Those were the days... I think I like digital a lot better!  (Haven't ever used a 'scrub' tool except for amusement, though...)
