Les Paul or SG?
Les Paul.

This isn't mine, but here's a pic of one that is identical except it's right handed.

Just so there's no surprises, it's by no means in perfect shape, but plays perfectly, I just don't like the sound of it. I haven't touched it other than to wipe off fingerprints since I got it because I didn't want to wear off anymore gold plating.

You don't wanna sell that Bub. Depending on the year, those things are doing some pretty big money. Hold on to that one. I want a player, not a collector piece.

Really? Wow. I had no idea. I've been told it's worth a lot, but if you knew how much I paid for it, you'd cry.

I'll give you a hint ... less than the Sheraton ... I guess I was just in the right place at the right time.

I looked up the serial number, it was made in 1983 at a Gibson factory that is now closed iirc. It's really a player as it's not in collector condition imo.

I'll still post some pics when I get a chance.

Thanks,

Bub.

You need to get arrested.  In jail you usually get a bologna or cheese sandwich and a carton of milk.

I'm hungry, there's no food in the house, the wife is out of town for a week and she said she'd divorce me if I spent a single penny on anything while she was gone seeing how I quit my job with no backup plan.

I'm hungry damn it.

Food or divorce ... I'll leave it up to you ladies and gentlemen.

Please discuss ... quickly, I'm frickin' hungry!

If your wife was there, you could eat her.
I'm sure she wasn't refering to food Bub.

We were discussing how I like to go out for lunch too often at the time. :)

She left with no food in the house, now that's just cruel and unusual. Eat, if she goes, she goes.

Surely there's spare change enough in the couch cushions for a pack of Ramen Noodles?  Watch out for that MSG, though.  :/

But I'd recommend searching the fields and woods for better edibles... At the very least you could make yourself a dandelion salad, which would be much better for you than the Ramen. ;)

I spent all morning in the ditch in front of my house cutting down saplings before they get out of control and too big to deal with. I came across a large bunch of Asparagus, but it was too big to eat. It comes up every year in the same spot but by the time I see it and remember it's there, it's too big eat. :) I should cut it down because I think you can get 2 or 3 cuts out of it before summer hits.

Oooh ... salad does sound good ... as long as I can smother it in Bacon Bits, full fat Ranch, crispy chicken strips, and onions. Can't forget the onions. :)

Yeah! You usually can get several cuts off an asparagus! I'm surprised it's still there this late in the season (ok... I actually don't know where you are.  The asparagus may just now be ready in Nome, Alaska, for instance).... But before I edited my post heavily, I was suggesting things like wild onions and ramps.... But I erased it, lest I seem strange.... :D

And "Ditch Weeds" as my husband calls them... And you WERE in a ditch, so I suppose it would have been appropriate.

Iowa, middle of the state just outside of Ames. It's a famous (or should I say infamous) town for nuclear research back in the day at the university. The wife used to worked at Ames Lab where a lot of the early testing was done. Every year she gets a letter from the Feds saying, "Ooops, sorry, we spilled some radioactive material in the lab and it more than likely got on you even after all these years. You can go get checked for free and if you have Cancer, we'll pay your medical costs and give you a lump sum of 250 grand." Swear to God. Just got her yearly reminder in the mail today as a matter of fact. It's home to the first metal water tower in the U.S. too, probably related to the testing. LOL! Hmm, maybe that's why my Asparagus grows so tall, all the radiation. Doh! :)
But before I edited my post heavily, I was suggesting things like wild onions and ramps.... But I erased it, lest I seem strange.... :D
There are this things that grow out here that have no leaves, just very thin chutes that look like mini green bamboo. You can pull the layers apart, they grow end to end. I was whackin' them down with my pruning saw and one exploded. It scared the crap out of me. Hit another one with the side of the blade and it happened again. And loud too! I knew they exploded when you threw them in a fire, but never dreamed just hitting them would do that.
And "Ditch Weeds" as my husband calls them... And you WERE in a ditch, so I suppose it would have been appropriate.
Ahh ... good ol' ditch. ;). A friend of mine put it best, "... it's ok if you want to smoke 97 bowls in one sitting." It's about the same as chugging a couple beer. Comes up volunteer here in Iowa. I got most of it taken care of on my property, but the birds eat it, drop the seeds, and the cycle starts all over again.
