Ok my song is mixed...now what?
I've got a good mix now. I would like to use Sound forge to do some final Eq and limiting. How do I bounce the tracks down to a stereo track? Do I then save as a wav and open it in sound forge? Or should I open sound forge inside the track fx in music creator 6.

from the track view, double click to select an audio track. At least ONE audio track must be selected. Then File>EXPORT> AUDIO and select a destination folder on the computer. Also choose the options such as WHAT YOU HEAR and click OK. This exports the project to a stereo file and it should be exactly WHAT YOU HEAR in the playback mode. You can then import this into another project to master it....OR.... do what I do..... I insert Ozone into my Master Buss in the project and get the song project sounding EXACTLY like I want it to sound. You would need to insert Sound Forge at that point. Then, when I'm satisfied, I go through the exporting process as described above. What You Hear, 24 bits, stereo. A note on FX in the master buss..... I insert Ozone right at the beginning of the project and set it to a basic customized preset so that I hear everything I do through it. It helps me to "master & EQ" as I work through the process. All the track EQ's are processed and I don't have any surprises in the very end.

Ok. That worked. (I never saw an option to click...What you hear) The file exported at 16bits. I'll play around with it and see what I can learn on my own for awhile....Thanks.

The option for WHAT YOU HEAR is in a "PRESET" drop down window. Look around in the export parameters box and you will see it. There are about 8 to 10 options and WYH is one of them..... the presets are for how you want the files exported.

I'm not finding anything like that in MC6. I went to the help files and searched export and it said MC6 exports at 16bit 44.1 khz. Which is just fine with me anyway.

It looks like MC 6 doesn't have that export option. I didn't see it, either.

I will look around in MC6 to see.... I know it's in every single DAW I have but I have not specifically used MC6 to mix anything..... but I will look later today. EDIT: Yup... I opened MC6 and set up an export.... dang.... it's not there! Blasphemy I tell you...! I can only assume that CD quality means "what you hear...and all the other CD settings as default" ... thereby making it "easier" .
