Ok, this is really kind of unprofessional Cakewalk

So my billing period is on the 23 I never know because it's a pain in the ass to find it with this new BS online, there is no way I can see to change my creditcard info (not that I want to but if I did wth?)

Anyway I used Plat earlier today, get ready to reload a project and get this friggin unprofessional message that "Sonar will revert to demo mode in 13 days please go online and activate"...

What the crap? I have upgraded to Cambridge, and in fact my billing is not due until tomorrow, so why plaster this message across my computer when it's Cakewalk that has not billed my credit card yet? (Due on the 23rd by the way I read the "connected products")...if this is to motivate me to buy it outright I will gladly dump it for a more professional program...

By the way I posted this from the Sonar machine, I went to my CC and ran it so there is no connection problem, if the program wants to call home it can do so...

I'm using SOnar Platinium on a 6 core Lynx Audio machine and a ton of vintage pre-amps/eq's/comps I build for fun and sometimes money, REDD.47/API/Neve I also use the UAD stuff, and also use a Macbook Logic 9 through Apogee...

By the way it's telling me to "activate Sonar" but when I run the "about" tab from the help file it says my Sonar is legal and current until May 6th billed monthly...I don't like nag screens if this is going to happen every month I will be asking for my money back and switching everything over to logic...

I would pay the full pop, but initially wanted to test drive it monthly now it seems rather dumb to go and purchase the whole year at once, I don't like this at all, it looks incredibly unprofessional for me to load a customer project and have this nag screen pop up...and frankly it is not even billed yet...

SO I go along play the "activate sonar" game, upload my file, choose the downloaded "dat" file, "activation failure"...

    This is pure BS

But if you pay by the date in your about screen which should be automatic or you get an email reminder as well, you don't need to deactivate. Especially not with the manual process..

The reason the about screen says the 6th May while your actual month anniversary is the 23rd April is that Cakewalk automatically give you an additional 2 weeks grace so you don't get caught with a demo mode time out of your monthly licence just in case your payment is processed a little late.

My account is set up to automatically withdraw from my account, I cannot even change that since none of my credit-card info if accessible from anywhere I can get to...

My whole point is it seems rather unprofessional to tell me that my product needs to activate when it has been working fine on an automatic withdrawal from my credit-card and I cannot even change it...the card is current and funded, so the problem is completely on Cakewalks end...I have never even seen this screen before tonite...it nust be on some kind of clock or something...

I understand but surely the notification isn't there all the time, only on starting Sonar.
I honestly think that over time we will see a maturing of the whole account management, activation, download etc system. I'm not a Cakewlak apologist but in the short few months we've already seen Cakewlak acknowledge issues with some of these processes and they have tried to fix things.

I'd put in a feature request

As far as changing card details, are you doing that at the Cleverbridge site?

When you get your acknowledgement of payment, that email has a link that will take you to your Cleverbridge account where that should be possible. Maybe, I hadn't tried to do it when I was on monthly, I'm now on annual.

Actually I remember using Paypal to make my monthly payment so I always would have had access to that account where I could change card details.
