Old Stuff that still works

I broke out the Oxygen 8, the first version and all of my DAWs recognized it. A few years ago my DAWs did not even recognize it with the installed drivers via USB and Reason was the only one.   It now works in all of them.
As much as I can't stand M-Audio and will not buy their products again unless it's maybe monitors, My AP cards will still work thanks to Microsoft with driver support in Windows 10.  Only until the cards die or motherboards no longer have PCI slots.
I never understood why companies that made entry level pro audio cards like M-Audio, Echo, and Terratec never bothered to port to PCIe. Some boards have more of those slots than PCI.

Still using my ever faithful quite amazing MAudio keystation PRO 88... weighted keys, ooodles of dials, buttons, sliders... one of the only great keyboards they made... don't know why they strayed so far...

On my main system, I have the M-Audio keystation PRO 88, which I bought used for under $100 at a garage sale. I quite agree with Vastman -- a great keyboard with tons of features, a nice feel to it, and damn near indestructible.

On my secondary audio PC, I'm running an old ESI Juli@ PCI sound card, a set of original M-Audio BX5 monitors, and my prized antique: an ancient Peavey / Cakewalk Studiomix that still works like a charm. All this on a PC running Windows 10 64, and Sonar Platinum. The M-Audio BX5's are pretty ok for small, inexpensive monitors, and they've endured 10 years of service with no technical problems at all. Overall, I've personally had good experiences with M-Audio stuff.

I've recently re purchased a small collection of older K1000 series rack romplers and an old Jv1080. I sold my old Kurweil Midiboard and bought and fixed a broken down Alesis QS8.1 to use as a controller. I still use a Roland RE-501 and a few older Lexicon units. Re-tubed and capped my 76 Fender twin. The full digital switch over back at the turn off the century didn't make me the least bit more productive - glad to head back to old school and actually play music instead of play with electronics and software. I still utilize Sonar 5  as a replacement for an otari 8 trk and an Audioarts board.

I've got at least 7 or 8 old rack synths (like 30 years old) that all still work like I bought them new yesterday.
Can't say that about all my old rack fx units though. One by one, they've all died, and has since been tossed. (Don't need those these days though.)

My M1 needs a new battery, other than that it works fine.

My blackface ADAT is still in my rack and still gets used (although not for its original purpose).

I've got a lot of old gear that still works. Most of it is Roland or Yamaha. ( no doorstops here)
Some I still use, some just looks good with all the lights out in the studio and powered up.
A lot of it I tried to sell and no one wanted it at the time. So I keep it out of spite.
I don't know how many times I tried to get rid of my Roland GR50 and now I'm using it again and having a blast thanks to the use of a Godin guitar.
My Yamaha 01v is bulky and gets stashed away a lot, but all you get for them is around $200. So I keep it and still find a use when I record a band.
Somedays I wish I had kept every piece of gear I ever owned! I'd certainly need to double the size of my music room/studio. Especially old guitars, basses and amps.

I weep for the "old" stuff I have disposed of in the past.  My new rule is:  if there is any space for storage, keep it!

Just about everything I have with the name Asus on it still works.  At one time the M2N series could only run 1 Dual Core AMD and a bios update could now run AMD Quads.

I have a Boss DS330 synth module that is bumping against 20+years old and it is still working as well as when I bought it.

There is also the ~40 year old Polymoog that sorta works. I keep it for sentimental reason. Although, it is more of a monolith than a door stop.
