Older projects in Platinum and Piano Roll madness...

Still having lots of problems with older projects, especially ones that contain Toontrack's EZD or Superior, in Platinum.  All sorts of weird anomalies from tracks not playing at all to being randomly transposed to having duplicate instances in the synth rack.  I usually end up having to just copy the midi tracks and delete all instances of the offending instruments and then reinstantiate them and copy the old midi tracks to them.  Today I had yet another new anomaly...I accidentally undocked the piano roll view tab at the bottom of the screen and when I redocked it, it stopped responding to any of the usual PRV commands like double clicking the clip, Alt-V, etc... I have to physically highlight the track by double clicking it...then the tab will change to that track and then I have to double click the tab to get into the PRV.  If this is something I screwed up or am doing wrong please hip me, will ya! 
 
 
PS: I'm downloading "dorchester" as I write...perhaps it will clear up some of this.  Or not.
