Older version of QuadCurve EQ ? SOLVED

Hi,
I'm getting an error message when I try to open EQ in the Pro channel.

An older version of QuadCurve EQ was detected. This may result in missing functionality and/or unpredictable behavior. It is recommended that you re-install Sonar.

How do I solve this ?   I tried but Sonar will not reinstall in command center. (maybe if I uninstall first)

Thanks
Brad

Very odd Brad. Yes you may need to uninstall then install. I wonder if anyone else has seen this error?

I think it's because of a Windows re-install. My computer crashed 2 weeks ago.   Taking time to get everything back to where it was.

Thanks Brad. That is a likely reason.

O.K,  This is strange. It doesn't appear in my programs and features list in control panel to uninstall. Is there an uninstall exe somewhere else for Sonar Platinum ?   There is one for Platinum core plugins.  No Platinum or Sonar Platinum.

If SONAR Platinum was installed using the Command Center, uninstall is performed in the Command Center by right-clicking on the SONAR Platinum line item. For the QuadCurve issue it may not be necessary to uninstall though. It may be sufficient to use the rollback option from the same menu and then perform the update to the current version again.

Thanks I'm going to do that right now. Ipswich (The last one) is the one I'm going to roll back from.

O.K That was easy, and quick.  Seems after rolling back the error was gone so I right clicked and then updated back to the new version again and the error has NOT come back.  SCOOK, Thank You

You are welcome. Weren't you working with X series installers recently? Maybe the QuadCurve EQ was accidentally overwritten with an older version at that time. The Command Center makes correcting this type of problem pretty easy. Glad you got the EQ back.

Yes, I'm trying to find Z3TA +2 so, I re-installed my old sonar X1 and Sonar X1 expanded.   That could've caused the problem.

I installed X1 after Platinum in July and had an issue with the Staff View font. If you open a MIDI track in staff view does that appear normal for you after your reinstall?

I don't use Staff view  but, I just opened it up after a midi performance and it looks fine. What should I be looking for?

I was more curious with this. I got strange font issues from installing X1 over Platinum, but did not do a full uninstall/re-install of Platinum (I simply tried to re-install it). In hind sight that may have been the better solution. This thread is the font issue I was seeing, just FYI not that it is important.
