That's a beautiful song cclarry.  Nice harmonies.  It's kind of fun to find oldies and polish them up.  Do you have any mastering software like Ozone 5?

I might have panned those synth strings a little differently and had a bit of sparkle on the vox, but other than that, good job!

Is that an electric 12-string I hear, or am I deceived?  Gives me a nice late-60's vibe.

    Thanks for sharing this one.

    Cheers!

Yes  - Use T-Racks 3 Deluxe...but it was rendered non-functional by my upgrade to Windows 8....which was a bummer,
but I'm sure Ik will get the Win 8 versions soon...other then my IK Stand Alones Win 8 has been rock solid...even
with my 32 bit programs and 32 bit plugins in X2...all my IK programs will work in X2...just not stand alone, as they
don't recognize my Quad Capture driver...

The Guitar is just a 6 string electric processed with GTR 3...

Thanx for the comments and suggestions....I'll get it done soon!

In spite of a few minor pitch & timing issues... this is a good, solid song and delivery... some of the Strings' passing notes sound flat... try changing some of your dominate 7s to major 7s... nice heartfelt lyrics... well done...

Thanx notnat!  It's still in progress...haven't finished all the editing yet..just
    a rough mix...

and my T-Racks is temporarily out of commission due to my upgrade to Win 8
and the Win 8 Quad Capture driver...

Hopefully Ik get's updated soon and I can finish this...we shall see...

The message is relevant, and you conveyed it well.  If you still have access to the mix, I would suggest that you soften the reverb a bit, but other than that, it works.  You go, guy!

OK Cclarry you say you wrote this many years ago and your pic on  soundcloud looks like you are about 30 lol.....I'm just kidding with you some!

This one was well worth dusting off and reworking. I did hear some of the guitar seeming to be slightly out of tune mostly at the beginning and it didn't jump out and bite me. A very pretty song. Does have that older mix feel to it like it was made long ago.
     Nice tune!

    LOL@Starise...

    I'm 53...and that pic is only a year old...LOL

I don't know if you guys listened to the first post but the lights went on and I used T-Racks at
the Master Bus on mixdown...and then reposted....I think it added a little "shimmer" to it...but I'm still not done..

    Lynn,

Thanks for that!  The MESSAGE, to me, is what is important.

The first time I did this song was at my In Laws Church in Florida..
when I was about 30...LOL....so that will tell you how old it is...

tbosco...yes - it was NOT painless..but it was worth it...X2 is very stable
under Windows 8, and the biggest benefit I've seen is Multi-core usage
is even across the cores...that a HUGE benefit to X2...

    Lynn,

I took your advice about the reverb...and it does make a big difference...
I just uploaded the remix...still more to do...but THANX!

    Hi, Larry,

Very nice work on this vintage sounding song with a great inspirational message!

I like the strings, and the vocal harmonies really sound good on this, thanks for sharing!

    Nice message... truth!

On the song.... I'd look at a redo now that you have learned a few things.  I agree with the nits mentioned above. No need to rehash them.

The song was fairly short.  But yeah, it's worth taking that one back to the studio and start recording from scratch to do a better version now that a few years have passed.  I did that very thing on Missing Person recently and .... what a difference a few years made.
