    Nice!  I haven't done any white water in 30 years.  It looks like fun. 

    Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

    I tried it once, but you seem to be doing it differently than I did.  You're staying IN the boat...

     Yes Beagle, that is my wife. I don't think she will ever do it again :(  It took several hours to go the route we went and during that time the boat was  constantly pounded and was under water almost as much as above water.
      It had just rained and these were level 4 rapids. 

    Had I known it would be so rough I would not have taken my wife.Craig, my guide told us that if we were to fall out not to try and put your feet on the bottom because if a foot would get caught in between rocks the current would take the rest of you under and you could easily drown.........a pretty good motive to stay on the boat!

    You can ask around a find water that's a bit less severe.  The caveat is that a storm or the spring melt can make any stream or river into a higher level than predicted. 

    A number of people have died here in Yosemite because they were caught in the current caused by a huge snow melt in the Sierras.
