The style of the song reminded me of Peter Gabriel. I liked it. Nicely done. The little details are nice... I mean the effects and sounds.

It has a wholeness to it, a real sense of completeness of the parts. Nothing is really out of place, with a lot going on! I immediately thought PG as well . . . mix thoughts? It's pretty good as it is. I might try a version with less delay on the vocal, and one with the snare turned up a tad. The French horn? toward the end could be another timbre, it's the only thing I could pick out as "not real" - maybe it's too washed with reverb to retain any attack of the notes. I know horns are pretty impossible to make sound real unless they are . . . real. But it's not much of a drawback as is. I wasn't sure about the ending scrunchies . . . does this lead into another piece? very well done! -Tom

Thanks for the feedback. Tom, I'll do what I can to address the horns, reverb and other stuff you mentioned. Yes, the 'scrunchies' on the end are intended as a lead into the next song. Thanks again for listening.

What Tom said... In addition, I think there are a few places that could use more cinematic feel in the drums, like "big" toms. Everything feels very polite, maybe too polite. Overall, this is very well done and something to be proud of. Regards, Dan

Thanks Dan and Wookiee. I am still revising it so I'll try to do some changes in the toms. Dan, if there are any specific passages that should be 'impolite' let me know. Appreciate the feedback in any case.

Think of it the way an orchestral piece would ebb and flow...there are places where the track is just begging for more energy. Right now, the whole thing is pretty even keel, which is okay, but adding that extra something would make it special. Just listen...you'll hear it. Regards, Dan

This is one of the best songs that I've heard in this forum for quite a while. It's ethereal and rhythmic at the same time. I've been listening to this several times a day for the last week, and it never gets old. Extreme kudos to you.

I didn't see the edit in your first post so ended up listening to both versions. May be my ears but the vocals sound much better in the latest version, did you turn them up a touch? Track has a nice flow to it, enjoyed the listen.

Hi Biodiode, Thanks for listening. I added much more harmony in the second instance, and maybe more compression. Fiddled with levels a lot. Kind of losing track of all the changes. Glad it improved! I'll probably take one more pass at it before mastering, so we'll see. Thanks again. Hi Frugaard, appreciate the comment. It has taken more time than I expected. Cw

Thanks Dan, you were right about just listening to where the drums needed more pop. Good advice.

Cool stuff. Got a hint of Sting, 'Sacred Love' era with the drums and percussion, good groove. Vocal treatment works well over the ethereal track. Would fit well on a sci-fi series soundtrack.

It is a combo of electronica and good old fashioned rock for me. I like it! At first I was just expecting electronic stuff but the vocals entered quickly and I loved it. Good tune, buddy, and well played and produced!

This is a beautiful piece, and more importantly to me, endlessly interesting. There's really a lot to listen to here. Your second mix really takes it up a level too. The only thing I'd add is that there were times in the song that I would have enjoyed some real passion, or maybe attitude in the lead vocal. Still, it's a wonderful piece of work!
