Aw, man. I'm not a fanboi. I've complained plenty about legitimate issues. Whatever. I won't be able to convince anyone who's already made up their mind.

What a freaking mess.

Not at all, spacey. I'm just a guy who came here and with the intention of avoiding drama and I failed miserably. I've been in plenty of tussles in my life but I came here to learn. That argument was between Bub and I. Think whatever you want about me but this was between two guys and as far as I was concerned it was over. I've done what I can. I'm actually pretty damned mad that they chose that thread to come down on him because now I look like an arsehole.

Business as usual no doubt.

Time and again, when fanboys and bashers come to blows (even if the argument has nothing to do with Cakewalk), it's always the dissenters that get the red card.

Hurry back Bub. This place needs your intelligent, objective input.

im not even sure how to take this steve.
ive been sitting here for 10 minutes now just staring at this post thinking..did you really just post that?
was that intended for me because i had words with bub yesterday?

i think ive always, and i mean always been respectful to you.
im sure you ment it to sound like this or maybe you did.
but,no i dont agree sir.

Charlie, Beepster

I meant nothing personal in my comments, I was just pointing out my observations.

It's happened before and no doubt it will happen again.

It seems that once you criticise Big Brother, you're a marked man, and any excuse to silence you is seized upon. That's not to say certain bannings haven't been justified, it just seems apparent to me that it's often not a level playing field.

But then again, we're all guests here and Cakewalk can ban whoever they like whenever they like. It is what it is.

Conversely, it's a free market. If I ever felt that I'd been banned from here unjustifiably, I would never spend another penny on Cakewalk products.

OK....Bub got banned?

What happened? He had his moments but I don't recall anything necessarily ban-worthy...

It was a friggin' joke to lighten you up. You want to take claim to the ball...or the reason Bub got hammered- head on and happy trails.

Shucks...  Well, to be honest, I saw a few posts were I thought Bub has stepped on the TOS.  And I am not even sure, if those posts were criticisms of Cakewalk.

Maybe I'm just completely oblivious but all of the controversy and the spats and fallouts on this forum seem to fly right over my head. I guess I just couldn't care less! It's just an internet forum. Everyone's a jerk sometimes, and some people love to be argumentative and/or combative. I think I'm fine with that, I like a good argument, I don't even mind a good old mud flinging session, and I can be tooth and nails with someone in one thread and perfectly civil and chatty with them in another. It's all good.

To be honest I've never noticed anything untoward about Bub, he seems like a perfectly nice fellow who likes to clash horns now and again. I've had a bit of to and fro with him and he's always come across as a nice guy.

To me, everything's fair game except public defamation and violent threats. I would like to think that everyone here is thick skinned enough to handle everything else.

And passionate. And as straight as the day is long.

As I said before, if he deserved this ban, then there are a lot of users around here that got lucky.
