Half - Baked?  You know its gonna be half baked to some folks.  They are just lickin their chops to tear into X1b and suggest that Cakewalk shut down as a company.

You know the people I'm talking about..... - The ones who have 5 different virus programs running at the same time - who overclocked their CPU 3 times over - who are trying to use X1b with only 500mb of ram on a 5400RPM HD with an outdated version of thier audio interface drivers , etc  .........and who wouldn't admit any of it even if they were.

Yeah... I know what you mean...

But I was simply looking for a little humor this time... ;-)

In honesty? I know the Bakers always have given great updates, so I'm guessing this will be so too... I know it won't have even half of the things I want to see, but then we'd have 8.5.3 with the ProChannel! ;-) So I'm not expecting miracles, but I do believe they will conquer the biggest actual bugs as well as toss us some new things we're not even expecting as they were not ready for release and have gotten finished in the interim...

then we get to wait for the next few years as the things we've lost slowly work their way back into the program... In the meantime I'll be growling and unable to be happy in either 8.5.3 nor X1b/c... and I hope I'm alive to see X2 tho I may not buy it next year... We'll see...

Potential new customers have got to looking elsewhere, especially with some of us longtimers leaving and looking for something that will work and fill our needs. What can be taking so long and why isn't there daily information for us? I honestly think there should be an information officer in charge of damage control.

What else is there to know? They've posted fix lists and new feature updates, something I've never seen them do before. If they're really two weeks out or so it's prolly all beta testing now.

I'm anxious too, extremely, but I don't need to know when the Bakers use the loo in order to be appeased. Maybe re-read the update post of fixes, that helps comfort me at night.

Hi thomasbarnes I am also keen for the update.
Hope you dont mind me asking a question but I noticed you are running a Delta 1010.
I am running 2 x Delta 1010's / a pair of KRK V8's output from 1 card and from the other a bluesky 5.1 setup.
This works fine with 8.5.3 but with the update to X1A it cant see the second card
help by any of you long timers would be great
