"Only One Sky" demo blueprint / open G (GGDGBD) / heavy alternative

quick demo sketch blueprint for my bandmates. electric and acoustic guitars are tuned to open G with two G's on first and second string (GGDGBD). this allows me to get a natural chorusing effect by slightly bending the G on the second string when playing the first and second string together in the same fret, as in the opening guitar riffs. i'm playing my Pearl Masters drum kit in a 35'x35' concrete walled studio drum room (for natural reverb) with Bonham-esque mic set-up of two overheads and kick & snare. the kick gets a little lost in this as it's on an Alesis digital pre-amp while the overheads are Blue Tubed and snare is Avalon'd so they are hotter and warmer. only thing missing in this now is a guitar solo (or maybe not? the song has unique structure of 3 parts that each have 3 textures both vocally and rhythmically with some Keith Richards-esque guitaring when the hi-hat goes from quarter notes to eighth notes)  any thoughts on this welcomed.

hey thanks Lynn.  i can see elements of STP here too w/ some of the vocal inflections.  maybe a little Nirvana in the guitars as well.
song needs two mini-guitar solos in each of the segues that lead into the verse groupings.  also my drummer can play the parts better than i did for the demo.  still the idea is there etc.  ;p keep you posted on any tour.
