Ooooh, I think I just made a big mistake...

So, I noticed in the Cake store that there was a "One Time" purchase of Platinum available for $150. I bought this thinking it was my "Lifetime Upgrades" version. But now I'm thinking I maybe screwed up. Did I err?

My lifetime upgrade had "Sonar Platinum (with Lifetime Updates)" written next to it. If you didn't see that then yeah, maybe you screwed up!

On the Cakewalk store, "Pay One-time" refers to Annual/renewal as opposed to monthly..  Looks like you purchased the annual renewal.  In your defence, perhaps the website sound say "Pay Annual" in place of "Pay One-time" to avoid potential confusion.

The way to know for sure is to go to your "My Membership" page and check the expiry date of your membership.

Sounds like you may indeed have pulled the wrong trigger. Likely one of the reasons they wanted to try to keep the lifetime option under wraps until everything was made clear to everyone tomorrow. I would try to get the ear of one of the Bakers, either through email support or a PM or whatever, and see if there's a way they can sort you out. They're generally cool, reasonable, understanding people...

Thanks guys! Actually, this looks like it may be a self-sorting situation! SO yeah, I screwed up and bought the annual by mistake, but now my lifetime updates price is showing as only $49. So it looks like they were prepared for my silliness! :)

Most likely. From what I can tell, the lifetime option for current Platinum owners is $199 less whatever is paid for this years renewal. It should all be clear tomorrow.
