Open with?
I did read the "readme" file, I did not see anything about "Open with?" How do I begin the installation? I try 7-zip- it still asks, what program to open it with. Thank you.

You should be able to start the install by clicking on the 02Sonar X2 part1 of the installation files. You need all 4 files in the same directory.

Thanks for the antivirus tip- I forgot to disable it, so I did now, but it still asks what program to open it with. Isn't there supposed to be "Setup" file? I click on part one- it asks what to open it with.

Vlad, if it's asking that- you may have the dreaded "no .exe" problem. Did you use I.E. as your browser?

yes, I did. Also all files have a number next to it, like it says, part1[1] and no .exe. However, it does not usually show extansions- it can. When I click on a link to download, it gives me option to Run or Save. So I chose "Save", and now when I click on a file, it asks "Open With". I really do not have time for this drama. IE is main Windows browser. It does not say anywhere I should not use it. Ugh. There was another thread about something simmilar today- wondering how it called.

So I used 7-zip "Unzip here". It opened 3 bin files, and still, clicking on them, it asks what program to open with. C'mon, it got to be something easy. Any ideas?

Vlad You have to open all the 4 parts, with 7-zip, in the same directory. you get 11 files (setup-1 to 10) and a "content" directory. the setup.exe is in the last part.

Hi Vladasyn I had the same issue (I think?). Your files after you downloaded them wouldn't open? I resolved it by renaming the files so: 02_SONAR_X2_Producer.part1[1] I renamed as 02_SONAR_X2_Producer.part1.exe 02_SONAR_X2_Producer.part2[2] renamed as 02_SONAR_X2_Producer.part2.exe and so on. After that, double clicked the renamed part1.exe then it all went ahead and installed the whole lot.

Yeah, also to clarify, just rename the downloaded files the same names as they are listed on the Download page. There is a .zip or 2 there i think, so you dont wanna name them as a .exe

Vlad, just follow Jean's instructions. I had exactly the same problem. Jean, thank you. I did as you said and renamed the files using the .exe extention. Everything flowed perfectly from there. So easy if you know how!!! Thanks again Jean.

And the winner is answer #10. Thank you very much for posting this. Do not need to remane anything. The installer is located in folder #4. Now this kind of frustrating. Why in a world Cake would put installer in folder of part 4 and not write about it in instruction? If you are like me, you would open first, folder- no installer, 2nd, 3rd, and give up- I would nevr think to open 4th folder. If it hast to be in folder/part 4, the instruction should be given in the read me file or in the installation instruction. Why even have install. instruction if it does not say where installer is?
