Opening projects from Playlist view

I'm setting up a playlist of projects for a live show, and while the individual projects open in a maximized window within Sonar (I'm using X2a), when they're opened from the playlist they are in a "cascaded" window. I've maximized both the play list window and projects that are loaded and saved them again, but it still shows the project window as cascaded when the project is opened from the play list view. Each project is very simple - containing only a single stereo track and two MIDI tracks with program change information for the hardware synths I use.
 
Does anyone know how to always have these views maximized? The projects play without difficulty, it's just visually the screen looks a mess and it's hard for me to see where I am within the track that's playing.
