Opinion - My interpretation

My favorite Nirvana song, done in a different style. I hope Kurt would approve. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12091570 Lee

It's Bob Dylan doing Nirvana, sorry Lee after my duel with Pistol Pete I just had to take a jab.  Now Nirvana are, in my opinion, rather over rated, a couple of good tracks but I find the whole notion of nihilism a little too hard to stomache.  But nice work as always.

    Peace Ben

Ah, Pistol Pete...I miss that little rapscallion. But yeah, I hear ya...personally I love Nirvana and Cobain's sound and sensibilities, very real and honest. Doing a cover, to me, the only valid reason would be to do it in a different way to shine a light on the song from a different angle. That was my intent...whether or not successful, who knows? But thanks for listening, always appreciated my friend... Lee

    The interpretation was wonderful.

Amen to that. I feel and try to do the same whenever possible.

No offence intended but the track needs just a little sparkle. Tonality seems a little dull, but maybe it was intended?

Bapu, agreed. I collected a bunch of feedback at different tones that I could have spent all day weaving in and out, but this cover was just done as a bit of throw away from my original recordings, which I'm close to finishing up. I wanted this track to feel a bit spooky, to convey a sense of resignation. I may revisit it, but we'll see....thanks for listening and feedback, always appreciated! Lee

I'm not familiar with any of Cobain's work, but like I've said before... I like your style... my daughter likes you too...

I like this version very much.  I'm glad you did it differently.  Remember how different Cobain's version of "The Man Who Sold The World" was from Bowie's?  Many people probably don't.

    All the best,

Hi Lynn, I absolutely do! I wasn't familiar with the Bowie version prior to hearing Cobain's version, so I sought it out. His interpretation was fantastic and so different, brought a completely different perspective to it. I loved it. - Hi Frank, Thank you! Really nice to her, a father and daughter digging music together really is what it's all about isn't it? Lee
