Opinions about Proteus 2000 Emu library

Hi everybody! Well, Christmas is coming and i´m thinking about giving myself a gift. I´ve been interested in the Proteus 2000 library since the first day (I´m a preset addict, so the 1000+ presets must be accounted for something). I was thinking of getting some opinions about it... Are the presets really useable in today´s music production? How is the sound quality? Do you recommend it? It will be my secondary sound library, along with Hypersonic 2/Sonik Synth 2 (Dimension Pro is my first choice).

    The strings and horns, and flutes, and guitars, and basses, and synths, and everything you find in the Proteus is still good quality, and it is as good as anything you there currently. The samples are smaller, but they are a good sample pool no doubt. The Expressive Engine breathes new life into these sounds as well.

    Thanks Trusty... i´ve heard some proteus 2000 sound samples on a site and liked them... I guess it´ll be a good addition to my library.

    Are the presets really useable in today´s music production? How is the sound quality?

    Nice find, b rock... I´m decided. Entered the Wusikstation groupbuy and will get the Proteus 2000 library... I guess that will make me busy for a while :)
