    your best bet is to go to Guitar Center (even if you eventually end up buying elsewhere) and A/B them with some material that you're familiar with. I think GC carries both brands. I have a space-challenged work area so I went with the Events TR6's which are working out quite well for me. The Events and the KRK are both front-ported design which is good for bass response. The Events are generous in the power amplifier department too...
