You beat me to posting it! I'm planning on posting a few tech demos next week, each focusing on a specific feature. That way I can show exactly how the sympathetic resonance works, and all the cool sustain pedal stuff you can do.

I'm just working on the interface for the Rick bass, so it should be done in around 4-6 weeks from now.

I know, it's so awesome that the Rickenbacker bass is getting so much attention lately, including with the free Rickenbacker 4001 that's over at KVRAudio. Being such an iconic and incredible-sounding bass, you'd think it would be sampled more often, but better late than never, right? :)

Looks like the NI one is picked, so it won't be as much making a choice as finding the money

Yeah, mine is fingered. I'll probably do a picked version later on, too.

Here's the first mini tech demo, showing the sympathetic resonance. I'll be posting more of these video demos every day, so stay tuned for those as well. http://youtu.be/xgaA8tW2FXY

Hi Greg, Is it really possible for this sustain pedal technique to work with any controller that uses a simple on/off switch pedal for CC#64? Kind regards, Rick

If you're using a toggle sustain pedal rather than one that outputs the full 0-127 controller spectrum, the hardware will be the limiting factor in that case--so you won't be able to get the half-pedaling or slow pedal releases. Most controllers I've used nowadays support sustain pedals that transmit the full 0-127 controller range, though.

Okay, just one last tech video demo for Evolution Rosewood Grand. This one shows what a difference the modeled damper motion makes when playing fast, repeated notes. Also... only two more weeks until release! http://youtu.be/59x3cPZ7-lU
