Orange Tree Spinet

I don't recall seeing any e-mail announcement for this this one but looking around for news on Orange Tree's upcoming Rickenbacker Bass I found this recently released Spinet Harpsichord.

I don't really need another Harpsichord library but GAS may well get the better of me while its $15.

Sampletekk's is only $12! Wait for the half-price sale if you're really cheap.

Good point, well presented. Its on a half price sale at the moment. But I already have that one. Maybe I will become the Nigel Tuffnel of virgin virginals.

Even cheaper, there are a couple of very nice, free, Harpsichords from Soni Musicae. I also like their Orgue de Salon.
These are in both Kontakt and SF2 format.

I have the Blanchet-1720. Haven't actually found a use for it yet - harpsichord is rarely the instrument I hear in my head while composing - but it sounds pretty darn good. I'll have to check out that organ.

Are there any demos of the orange tree?  They're not showing up on my iPad.

Yes - two demo tracks, and as you would expect from Greg, it sounds pretty good. There is also a PDF manual.

Let me know if you have any questions about the library. Also, here are direct links to the demos:

Sounds great, Greg. Maybe the best I've heard yet. Very crisp and clean, well-recorded and edited. I've got at least six different harpsichord sources here (about 5 more than I need) and most of them are annoyingly shrill in the upper registers.
